The Cheverny castle

On the outskirts of the town of Blois, the Cheverny castle deserves to stop and linger there.

Remarkably preserved over the years, it houses unique architectural and artistic treasures.

You will appreciate equally the fine tapestries depicting the epic of Don Quixote as the sumptuous decoration of the King's Chamber.

Deeply rooted in the tradition of venery and horse hunt, do not leave the premises without having previously admired the trophy room and its 2000 antlers and especially the kennel, occupied by a pack of more than 50 dogs.

The castle of Cheverny still holds many surprises. Thus, it inspired Herge when he created the famous castle of Moulinsart in the adventures of Tintin. It now houses a permanent exhibition entitled "Secrets of ,Moulinsart".

While mixing styles, the castle of Cheverny is definitely a bridge between history and modernity.
