This lovely walk starts Rue des Pres in Olivet and then runs along the Loiret river, smaller tributary of the Loire river, long only of 13 km.
Along its shores, you will discover the Poutyl Park located in the centre of Olivet, the springs of St. Avitus and Pie, and a collection of water mills along the river. The mills today are stopped but skilfully restored.
Some surprises await you at the turn of the walk. For instance, the Quetonniere garage boat has an oriental inspiration with its mosaics and its minaret. It was designed and built under the direction of Garnier, architect of the famous Paris Opera. You will also have the leisure to admire the "follies", these pleasant houses built on the banks of the Loiret river as resorts for the wealthy families of the beginning of the 19th century.
The parks flatter the eye of the passerby as in a day dream.
